Vivian F. (Possiel) Smith, 91, of 3rd Lane, Berwick, Salem Township, passed away Sunday evening, June 20, 2021 at her home.
Born June 25, 1929 in Jersey City, NJ, she was one of seven children of the late Harold and Mildred (Creed) Possiel. Vivian graduated from High School in Jersey City in 1947 and furthered her education at the former Churchman’s Business School, Easton, PA.
She was a homemaker most of her life and attended Bethany United Methodist Church, Berwick.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Robert Cater, John P. Miller Sr. and John Smith; a son, Daniel Miller and sisters, Marion Morgan and Joan Moore.
She is survived by her children, Sharon Yost and husband, Charles of Bloomsburg, Vivian Licina and husband, Robert of Nescopeck, John P. Miller Jr. of Slabtown and George G. Miller, Salem Township; sixteen grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited for viewing and visitation hours on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc. 119-121 E. Third Street, Berwick.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery, Berwick with Pastor Michael Delp, chaplain with Commonwealth Hospice of Berwick, officiating.
