Vincent R. Castellano, 68, of Berwick, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at the Berwick Hospital Center. Born in Fort Lee, NJ on November 1, 1953, he was a son to the late Ralph and Cecelia (Staskiel) Castellano.
Vincent attended Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School in Coal Twp, PA. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Berwick and a talented artist with murals prominently displayed at St. Joseph Parish and Yuengling Brewery. His works also included the statue outside of the Holy Family School and stained glass windows across the tri-state area, including Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia, PA. Vince also enjoyed automotive restoration, from motorcycles to custom ultralight aircraft.
Surviving Vincent is his daughter, Katie Kempinski of Bloomsburg. Also surviving are his sister, Kate Simpson of Philadelphia, and niece, Aimee Simpson. In Vince’s typical comedic style, he requested that his ashes be put in an Etch-a-Sketch so his future grandchildren can play with him.
Vincent’s Celebration of Life is being organized by his daughter and will be announced this Spring. Memorial contributions in his name can be made to Operation Underground Railroad, a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing victims of human trafficking, at PO Box 560902, Denver, CO 80256.
