Ronald Lee Boyer

Ronald Lee Boyer, 62, of Berwick, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.  Born in Sunbury on June 11, 1961, he was a son to the late Roy T. and Alda B. (Cook) Boyer.

Mr. Boyer attended Danville Area Schools and Columbia-Montour AVTS.  He worked for Strick Trailers for nearly 20 years before becoming an employee of the Bloomsburg Area School District, from which he retired.  Ronald was an active member of Cornerstone Bible Church.  He was a very talented handyman who was skilled in carpentry and electrical work. He enjoyed fishing and various motorsports.  His greatest joys were his family and friends, and the times spent with them.  He will be fondly remembered as a hardworking man with a fantastic sense of humor.

Surviving Ronald is his wife, Rachel Mollette Boyer, with whom he celebrated his seventh anniversary on August 5th.  Also surviving are daughters:  Celina Benza and husband, Dustin, of Bloomsburg, Lakita Boyer of Berwick, and Kianna Boyer of Berwick; grandchildren:  Cooper and Cece Benza; step-sons:  Michael Galffy and wife, Evie, as well as their son, Shae, of Berwick and Daniel Galffy of Berwick; siblings:  Connie Mertz and husband, Ken, of Washingtonville and Ken Boyer and wife, Sarah, of Harrisburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by brothers:  Dan Boyer and Chris Boyer.

All are welcome to join Ronald’s family for his memorial service 12 Noon Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Cornerstone Bible Church, 208 Church Road, Nescopeck.  Pastor James Winder will officiate.  Friends will be received from 11 AM until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions in Ronald’s name may be made to Source of Light Ministries International, 1011 Mission Rd, Madison, GA 30650.  The Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve the Boyer family.  Online messages of comfort and support may be left at www.kelchnerfuneralhome.com.
