Peter Q. O'Donnell, Sr.

Peter Q. O’Donnell, Sr., 54, of Berwick, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born in Berwick on January 30, 1969, he was a son to the late Cletus O’Donnell and Arletta (Eroh) O’Donnell.

Mr. O’Donnell was a graduate of Berwick Area High School, Class of 1988. After graduating, he pursued a career as a plumber. In this capacity he worked for Deluxe Homes, Design Homes, and Plum-Air, Inc. More recently he had been a driver for Swift Transportation and US Xpress, from which he retired. Peter was a man of many talents. He enjoyed woodworking and had made tables, chairs, and other furniture. He also enjoyed remodeling his home, working on cars, playing pool, and collecting coins. Peter’s beloved family and friends will fondly remember his sense of humor and his pranks.

In addition to his mother, Peter is survived by his loving wife, Jamie (Lee) O’Donnell, with whom he celebrated 25 years of marriage on March 27. He is also survived by children: Kaitlyn O’Donnell of Berwick, Madison Strohl and husband, Joel, of Berwick, Alexis O’Donnell and companion, Tyler Talanca, of Berwick, Isabelle O’Donnell of Berwick, and Peter O’Donnell, Jr. and wife, Melinda, of Williamsport; grandchildren: Covie, Thomas, Mya, Natalia, Riley, Wayne, and another on the way; brother: Megunah Qehath of Johnson City, IL; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his dog, Bo.

In addition to his father, Peter was preceded in death by siblings: Sharon Hunsinger, Susan O’Donnell, and his twin brother who passed in infancy.
