Patricia J. (Cain) Miller Earnest Schickley Weatherill, 81, of Berwick, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022 in her home. Born in Berwick on April 14, 1941, she was a daughter to the late J. Kenneth and Gladys E. (Manning) Cain.
Patricia was a graduate of Berwick High School, Class of 1959. She furthered her education, completing programs at Federated Tax Service and the National Notary Public Association. She had worked at numerous places in several fields including: the Berwick Shirt Company, Mellon Bank in Bloomsburg, Radzievich Market in Bloomsburg, Harleysville Mfg. Company in Bloomsburg, Weis Markets in both Bloomsburg and Danville, McDonalds in Danville, Super 8 Motel in Mifflinville, Travelodge in Danville, Bloomsburg University, Full Notary Service, Full Mobile Mortgage Loan Closing, and Decorator Industry in Berwick. She had also owned and operated her own sewing business and provided private duty home health care. Pat had also been the manager for Danville Dry Cleaners, from which she retired. She was a member of Washingtonville Lutheran Church. Patricia enjoyed diamond art painting and crocheting. In her younger years, she enjoyed deer hunting and camping.
Surviving Patricia are her daughters: Donna (Miller) Whalen and husband, Paul, of Washingtonville and Debra (Miller) Cain and husband, Brian, of Berwick; grandchildren: Marlena (Melendez) Hawk and husband, Jeremy, of Winston Salem, NC and Angelica Melendez of Montoursville; brother, D. Barry Cain and wife, Joyce, of Berwick; previous husbands Earnest L. Miller of Hunlock Creek and Arnold Earnest of Benton; son-in-law, Duane Fox; and father to her grandchildren, Tony Melendez.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by son, Gary Miller; daughter, Diane (Miller) Fox; grandson, Aaron Evans; grandparents: Virgil and Carrie (Varner) Cain and Levi and Agnes (Lynch) Manning; step-grandfather, Ray Sitler; and brother, Richard M. Cain and his wife, Edith.
