Patricia A. Sitler, 71, formerly of Berwick, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Geisinger Bloomsburg Health Care Center, where she had recently been admitted. She was born a daughter to the late Stephen and Lois (Tinney) Bodnar July 27, 1943 in Williamsport. A graduate of Berwick High School, Pat worked for years as the bookkeeper at her family's business in Berwick: the former Sitler's Auto Service and later worked as an income tax preparer for H & R Block. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the West End Fire Company. Spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren, was what Pat most enjoyed. She also loved to shop with her sisters, going camping, and doing macramé. Surviving Patricia are her daughters: Christine Bower and her husband, Scott of Berwick and Carol Jenkins and her husband, Daniel, also of Berwick, nine grandchildren: Andrea, Emily, Stephanie, Daniel, Randy, Stephen, Elizabeth, Ashley, and Kendra, two great-grandchildren, three brothers: Stephen Bodnar and his wife, Sue, James Bodnar and his wife, Judy, and David Bodnar and his wife, Betsy, and two sisters: Helen Shoemaker and her husband, James and Deborah Yacavoneand her husband, Tim. As well as her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 40 years, Ned E. Sitler, and two sons: William S. and Ned E. Sitler. A memorial service celebrating Patricia's life will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 13 at Bower Memorial United Methodist Church, 140 E. 2nd St., Berwick. Pastor Ralph Hartenbach will serve as the celebrant. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 AM until time of the service. Patricia was a loving and caring woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
