Nancy L. (Tyson) Shetterly

Nancy L. (Tyson) Shetterly, 85, of North Centre Township, had her wish of being able to walk with Jesus fulfilled Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Glen Brook Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Berwick. Born in Bloomsburg on July 23, 1937, she was a daughter to the late Henry and Elva (Adams) Tyson.

Mrs. Shetterly was a graduate of Locust Township High School, Class of 1955. That same year, she wed the love of her life, the late Belwood Shetterly. Together they raised their family and shared 66 years of marriage. Nancy was a woman of great faith who loved studying the Bible. She also enjoyed worshipping by sharing her musical talents, playing organ and piano at numerous local churches. She also found joy crocheting, reading, and piecing together jigsaw puzzles. Her favorite times were those spent with her large family, by whom she will be deeply missed.

Surviving Nancy are her children: Dale (Eileen) Shetterly, Janice (Neil) Engelman, Jolene (Joseph) Roman, Doyle (Megan) Shetterly, Jewel Ann (Donald) Cicero, and Jennifer Shetterly-Eisenhauer, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her sister, Beverly Roeder, of Bloomsburg.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Belwood Shetterly, who passed away January 26, 2022.

Nancy’s family would like to thank the staff of Compassus Hospice and Glen Brook Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for the excellent care that they provided.

At Nancy’s request, her services will be private with her interment at Ebenezer Cemetery.
