Michael Kim Pham, 69, of Berwick, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 at his home. Born in Vietnam on October 5, 1951, he was a son to Bop Cong Pham and the late Vi Thi.
In 1973, Michael wed Van Thi Pham, with whom he would raise his family and share 48 years of marriage. Mr. Pham worked at Wise Foods for 30 years, retiring in 2012. He attended St. Columba Catholic Church. Michael enjoyed gardening. He was a very handy individual who enjoyed working on cars and electronics. He was also a talented carpenter and enjoyed home improvement projects. Michael was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was known to occasionally participate in karaoke. His greatest joy, however, was his family, by whom he will be deeply missed.
Surviving Michael is his beloved wife, Van Thi Pham. He is also survived by his father, Bop Cong Pham; children: Anthony Pham of Fort Worth, TX, Ailien Pham of Berwick, and Alan Pham of Berwick; siblings: My Pham and wife, Nhu, Hoang Pham, and Nga Pham and husband, Hung Nguyen, all of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and Tam Pham and wife, Loan Truong, of Bloomsburg; nephews: Andy Pham of Bloomsburg and Cuong Nguyen and wife, Rebecca, of Scranton, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his mother, Michael was preceded in death by a brother, Ninh Pham, and a sister, Mai Pham.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Thursday, September 30, 2021 at St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815. Reverend Richard Mowery will officiate as Celebrant. Interment at Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg will follow. All are welcome to join Michael’s family for his viewing 5-7 PM Wednesday, September 29 at Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc., 119-121 E. Third Street, Berwick.
