Mary Ann Marshman Obituary

Mary Ann (Fink) Marshman, 90, of Berwick, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 2, 2023 at her home.  Born in Berwick on December 1, 1932, she was a daughter to the late Harold and Lena (Hicks) Fink.

Mrs. Marshman was a graduate of Berwick High School, Class of 1950.  She continued her education at the Bloomsburg State Teachers College.  In 1952, she wed Theodore E. Marshman, with whom she raised her family and shared 42 years of marriage.  Mary Ann was a longtime employee of the Alley Medical Center.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Berwick and served many years in the choir and had been choir director, as well as a soloist at many community events .  She was also a long term member and past president of the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.  She was an avid reader, lover of the arts, and enjoyed taking in nearly any sporting event that she could.  Mary Ann was equally comfortable farming, riding horses, fishing, or going to a formal party.  Family was most important to her and her door was always open; for her family or for the friends that became family.  She will be greatly missed by the multitudes who knew her as Nana.

Surviving Mary Ann are her children:  Van E. Marshman and wife, Jean, of York, Jeffrey L. Marshman and wife, Kristy, of Berwick, Diane L. Bomboy and husband, Tom, of Berwick, and Kenneth A. Marshman and wife, Jennifer, of Berwick; grandchildren:  Lauren, Jenna, Jeffrey, Grant, Madalyn, Jared, Brooke, Britni, Teddy, Thomas, Kenneth, and Graham; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by he husband, Theodore E. Marshman, who passed away in 1995.  She was also preceded in death by siblings Harold Fink, Jr., Jack Fink, and Frances Kirchdoerfer.

All are welcome to join Mary Ann’s family for her funeral 11 AM Thursday, March 9, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church of Berwick, 320 N.
