Linda K. (Dendler) Pollock, 78, of Berwick, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Born in Berwick on November 25, 1942, she was a daughter to the late Harry E. and Florence “Polly” (Stiner) Dendler.
Linda was a graduate of Central Columbia High School, Class of 1960. In 1966, she wed Merritt F. Pollock. Together they raised their family and shared 41 years of marriage. Linda was a member of Mifflinville United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, was a member of the ladies group, and assisted with Bible School and the Adventure Kids group. She had worked at Consolidated Cigar and at Ames Department Store, from which she retired in 1996. Linda enjoyed playing games, especially Parcheesi, and puzzles. She also enjoyed spending time outside; gardening and tending to her flowers. She additionally liked watching home improvement television shows. Her greatest joy, however, was her family, by whom she will be deeply missed.
Surviving Linda are her daughters: Karen Pora and husband, Gregory, of Danville, Pamela Harmon of Berwick, and Beth Farrow of Selingsgrove; son: Michael Pollock of Bloomsburg; grandchildren: Dakota Harmon, Logan Pollock, and Alexis Farrow; siblings: Richard Dendler and wife, Angela, of Orangeville, Randall Dendler of Berwick, and Amy Morris and husband, Gerald, of Waynesboro, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Merritt F. Pollock, who passed away October 14, 2007. She was also preceded by siblings: Ronald Dendler, Janet Dendler, and Sue Ann Dendler.
All are welcome to join Linda’s family for her graveside service at 12 Noon Friday, October 22, 2021 at Nuremberg Cemetery. Pastor Susan Knorr will officiate. Her memorial service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the Mifflinville United Methodist Church, Market and 4th Streets, Mifflinville. Pastor R. Kenneth Gunter will officiate.
