Jeffrey L. Demler

Jeffrey L. Demler, 79, of Berwick, passed away Tuesday April 16, 2024 at his home.  Born in Lebanon, PA on June 23, 1944, he was a son to the late William Demler and Verna (Barr) Light. 

Mr. Demler attended Lebanon School District Schools.  He had worked as a Lineman prior to moving to Berwick, where he was employed by PP&L for 24 years.  In his younger years, Jeff was an avid photographer and received numerous awards for his art.  He was a member of Elks B.P.O. Berwick Lodge #1138 and enjoyed spending his evenings there.  He was also a member of the West End Fire Co. and various social clubs in Berwick.

Surviving Jeff are his sons:  William Demler and wife, Debbie, of Berwick and Steven Demler and wife, Laura, of Cresco; grandchildren:  Jessica Shultz, Jacob Demler, Crystal Demler, Joseph Demler, Gavin Demler, and Leah Demler; five great-grandchildren; and siblings:  Donald Demler and Beverly Jackson, both of Lebanon.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 36 years, Janet M. “Kip” (Bachman) Demler, who passed away August 30, 2002.  He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Kenneth Light.

At Mr. Demler’s request, his services will be private with his interment at Grand View Memorial Park in Lebanon.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jeff’s name may be made to the Elks B.P.O. Berwick Lodge #1138, 117 W.
