Janet L. (Stout) Galanti

Janet L. (Stout) Galanti, 83, of Berwick, passed away peacefully  and with her daughter at her side on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at the Gardens at Orangeville.  Born in Berwick on October 26, 1938, she was a daughter to the late Clinton C. and Marian A. (Houser) Stout.

Mrs. Galanti was a graduate of Berwick High School, Class of 1956.  On August 10, 1957 she wed the love of her life, the late Dr. Anthony V. Galanti.  Together they raised their family and shared 58 years of marriage.  Janet was a member of Immaculate Conception BVM Church, where she enjoyed volunteering in various capacities.  She also enjoyed reading, bingo, traveling, cooking, and baking.  Her greatest joy was time spent with her beloved family and friends, by whom she will be deeply missed.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Michele Galanti and spouse, Roberta Grounds, of Indian Rocks Beach, FL.  Also surviving are siblings:  Clinton Stout of Berwick and Lucille Sealey of TX.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Anthony V. Galanti, who passed away December 24, 2015, and son, Anthony J. Galanti, who passed away November 28, 1971.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Friday, June 3, 2022 at Immaculate Conception BVM Church, 1730 Fowler Avenue, Berwick.  Reverend William T.
