Gary Russell Stotler, 63, of Berwick, died Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville following a short battle with cancer. Born September 6, 1957 in Orlando, FL, he was the son of the late Richard L. and Marion “Sue” (Russell) Stotler.
Gary was a graduate of Kaiserslautern American High School in Kaiserslautern, Germany. On October 30, 1999, he wed the former Megan L. Hess. Together, they raised their family and shared 21 years of marriage. Gary was employed as a logistics leader at PPL for 35 years, retiring in July of 2020. He enjoyed playing baseball, softball, golf, and running. He volunteered as a Little League coach for Berwick teams for many years. He faithfully attended and served at LCBC Church Columbia-Montour.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving Gary is his beloved wife, Megan. Also surviving are his sons: Richard P. Stotler and wife Rhea, Berwick, Jason R. Stotler and wife, Chloe, Millville, and Ryan J. Stotler of Berwick; siblings: Richard L. Stotler, Jr. and wife, Ann, Georgia, Kathy (Stotler) Watts and husband, Jan, Benton, Robert Stotler, Berwick, and James Stotler and wife, Linda, Berwick; grandchildren: Quinten and Delaney Stotler; parents-in-law: Cyril and Evelyn Hess, Bloomsburg, and sister-in-law: Melissa Hess, Bloomsburg, and nieces and nephews.
Gary’s memorial service will be 4 PM Sunday, July 25, 2021 at LCBC Church Columbia-Montour, 2421 Columbia Blvd, Bloomsburg, PA 17815. Pastor Dave Ney will officiate. Family will receive visitors from 3 PM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions in Gary’s name can be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship of Columbia-Montour Counties, 2325 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
