Donald C. Hauck, 73, of Rohrsburg, passed away suddenly Thursday, February 9, 2023. Born in Berwick on January 17, 1950, he was a son to the late Harold L. and Gloria M. (Houser) Hauck.
Mr. Hauck was a graduate of Central Columbia High School, Class of 1969. On December 13, 1975, he wed the love of his life, the former Brenda J. Golla. Together they raised their family and shared 47 years of marriage. Donald was a longtime employee of Berwick Offray and was currently employed at Wise Foods in Berwick. He attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God and was a member of the NRA and the Nittany Antique Machinery Association. Donald enjoyed cigars, cartoon movies, reading, and Star Trek. He also enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He will be fondly remembered as a hard working man who loved spending time with his family and gave the best noogies
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Brenda J. (Golla) Hauck. He is also survived by children: Shawn M. Hauck of Rohrsburg, Leigh A. Aten and husband, Charles, of Berwick, Thomas J. Stout and wife, Jennifer, of Mifflin, and Aimee J. Sponenberg and husband, Kevin, of Bloomsburg; grandchildren: Justin, Alyssa, Shea, Elizabeth, Zachary, Dakota, Melanie, Willow, and Katie; great-grandchildren: Amber, Teghan, Serenity, and Carter; siblings: Winnifred Howell, Harold Hauck, Jr., Laura Welliver, Charles Hauck, and Sally Snyder; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a sister, Janice St. Clair.
All are welcome to join Donald’s family for his memorial service 6 PM Monday, February 13, 2023 at The Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc., 119-121 E. Third Street, Berwick. Pastor Chuck Chamberlain will officiate. Friends will be received from 5 PM until the time of the service.
