Donald Dean Diltz, Jr.

Donald Dean Diltz, Jr., 60, of Lime Ridge, passed away suddenly Thursday, July 6, 2023. Born in Berwick
on January 22, 1963, he was a son to Donald Diltz, Sr. and the late Alice (Lucas) Diltz.
Mr. Diltz was a graduate of Central Columbia High School, Class of 1980. On March 6, 1987, he wed the
love of his life, the former Karen Louise Brown. Together they shared 36 years of marriage and raised
their family. Don was a long-time employee of Magee Carpet. He enjoyed spending time in the
outdoors, whether it was camping, fishing, or golfing. He was proud of his service to his community,
having been the Chief of Mifflin Township Volunteer Fire Department. Don also enjoyed music and
singing. His greatest joy, however, was his family. He loved spending time with them, especially his
sons and his new grandson.
Surviving Don, in addition to his father, are wife, Karen Louise (Brown) Diltz; sons: Adam Jacob Diltz and
wife, Taylor, of Corning, NY and Mitchell Dean Diltz and wife, Kathleen, of Mifflinville; grandson, Casey
Dean Diltz; siblings: Jeffrey Diltz and wife, Brenda, of Berwick, Lesa Diltz of Reading, and David Diltz of
Mifflinville.
In addition to his mother, Don was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Diltz.
All are welcome to join Don’s family for his memorial service 11 AM Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at the
Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc., 119-121 East Third Street, Berwick. Reverend Daniel
W. E. Warntz will officiate. Friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment
at Elan Memorial Park will follow. Memorial contributions in Don’s name may be made to the American
