David Szatkowski

David Szatkowkski, 70, of Berwick, passed away peacefully Monday, June 7, 2021 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre.  Born in Nanticoke on March 16, 1951, he was a son to the late Alfred and Edna (Gritsavage) Szatkowski.

David was a graduate of Greater Nanticoke High School, Class of 1969.  He continued his education at Penn State University, where he earned his BS in Electrical Engineering.  He had been employed by Talen Energy, from which he retired in 2020.  David enjoyed golfing, traveling, and taking in live music.  He spent many hours tending to his property and loved watching the deer.  Dave will be fondly remembered by his family and many friends as a kind and caring individual who was blessed with a great sense of humor.

Surviving David is his loving wife of 22 years, Susan Kay Slusser.  Also surviving are his sibiings:  Sue Russell and Richard Szatkowski and wife, Cheryl.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by a brother, Butch Szatkowski.

Dave’s services will be private.  The Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve the Szatkowski family.
