Charles “Chas” Monroe Stauffer, Jr of Berwick passed away on March 1, 2022, at the age of 64 after a courageous battle with a long-term illness. He was born on March 23, 1957, to the late Beatrice Annabelle (Steinruck) and Charles Monroe Stauffer, Sr of Almedia.
Anyone who knew Charles would agree that he had a good heart, full of compassion and kindness. He was a loving husband, father, and uncle. He was also extremely proud of his daughter and her accomplishments.
After graduating Central Columbia High School in 1975, Charles attended Wilkes University and Williamsport Area Community College. He worked for 36 years before retiring from Talen Energy as an IC planner in 2017.
Chas was an avid fisherman and golfer. He participated in the Shawnee Golf League at Rolling Pines and Tuesday Senior Golf League at Arnolds. He loved watching Notre Dame football and assisted in West Berwick Hose Company community events. Chas enjoyed his garden and was known for his hot peppers.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, the former Sandra Vought; his daughter, Clarissa Stauffer of Bloomsburg; and sister, Bonnie Stauffer of Bloomsburg.
A celebration of life will be held at the Berwick Golf Club on Thursday, June 9th, 2022, from 6-9 pm.
