Celia (Wozniak) Farver

Celia (Wozniak) Farver, 95, of Berwick, passed away peacefully and with her family at her side on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg.  Born in Berwick on September 20, 1927, she was a daughter to the late Alex and Mary (Posick) Wozniak.

Celia attended Berwick Schools.  On February 17, 1948, she wed the love of her life, the late Boyd F. “Tim” Farver.  She dedicated herself to the care of her family and her home.  Celia was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed cooking, reading, and knitting.  Her favorite times were those spent with her family, by whom she will be deeply missed.

Surviving Celia are her children:  Timothy B. Farver of Berwick and David F. Farver and wife, Laurie, of Whitehall; grandchildren:  Kelsey L. Hicks of Whitehall, Alyssa R. Farver of Whitehall, and Salene E. Marshall of Berwick; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Celia was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd F. “Tim” Farver, who passed away August 23, 2010.  She was also preceded in death by siblings:  Mary Miknich, Catherine Birt, Helen Veshka, Alex Wozniak, Anne Sweppenhiser, John Wozniak, Irene Lenhart, and Rose Mattive.

All are welcome to join Celia’s family for her funeral 11 AM Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc., 119-121 E. Third Street, Berwick.  Pastor Chad Hebrink will officiate.  Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery Annex, Walnut Street, Berwick.  Memorial contributions in her name can be made to T & D’s Cats of the World, P.O.
