Bradley L. Jones, Sr., 60, of Berwick, went home to his Lord and Savior Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born in Berwick on August 22, 1961, he was a son to the late Arthur and Nancy (Herring) Jones.
Bradley was a 1980 graduate of Columbia-Montour Area Vocational Technical School, where he played football. He was a longtime employee of Giant Food Stores, most recently acting as assistant manager of the Berwick location. Bradley was an active member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Bloomsburg. He generously gave of his time; sharing the gospel by handing out tracts at the fair and delivering meals to shut-ins. Bradley was an avid bowler who competed in several local leagues. His greatest joy was his family, by whom he will be deeply missed. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Bradley will be fondly remembered as a man who was generous, kind, and loving to everyone that he encountered.
Surviving Bradley is his loving wife of 18 years, the former Kathleen Bloom. Also surviving are children: Carie Jones of CA, Kelli Bourg of NM, Bradley Jones, Jr. and wife, Amanda, of Berwick, Jennifer Jensen and husband, Daniel, of Nescopeck, Adam Hess and wife, Amanda, of Berwick, Amy Martin and husband, Mickey, of VA, Kaitlin Steward of Muncy, and Lucas Lurowist of Mifflinburg; grandchildren: DJ, Celeah, Alexandra, Kaylee, Bradley, Brynlee, Christian, Carolyn, Lori Beth, Mychaela, Arianna, Christopher, Kacey, and Emily; siblings: Milinda Keefer of Mifflinville, Melody Decker and husband, Charles, of Nanticoke, Michael Jones of Wilkes-Barre, Arthur Jones and wife, Stacey, of NY, and Marikay Kmitch and husband, Bryan, of Avoca; step-mother: Helen Jones; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his beloved collie, Petey.
All are welcome to join Bradley’s family for his memorial service on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 706 Central Road, Bloomsburg, PA 17815. Friends will be received from 5:30 – 7 pm with his service beginning at 7:00. His pastor, Reverend John D. Kolenda, will officiate.
