Wilma Dean Naus

Wilma D. Naus, age 89, wife of Wayne W. Naus, of Bloomsburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Balanced Care of Bloomsburg, where she had resided for the past two years. Born in Berwick on Jan. 13, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Lanning) Pressler. For many years she was employed as a bookkeeper at General Machine in Berwick. Then from 1976 to 1982, she, along with her husband, owned and operated the Lightstreet Hotel, transforming it into a fine-dining restaurant. She delighted in cooking for and spending time with her family. She was an active sister and chaplain of P.E.O. , Chapter BK, Bloomsburg and a member of First English Baptist Church, Bloomsburg. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Surviving Wilma are her loving husband, Wayne, with whom she would have celebrated 68 years of marriage on February 5, 2015. Also surviving are her son, Scott W. Naus and his wife, Louise, of Bloomsburg, daughter, Brenda Batdorf and her husband Glenn, of Philadelphia, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Wilma's life will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 14, at a memorial service at the First English Baptist Church, 700 Millville Road, Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Rev. Lee Barnhart serving as the celebrant. Friends may call from 10:00 till the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be sent to First English Baptist Church. The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation and thanks to the staff of Balanced Care and to Commonwealth Home Health and Hospice for their loving care for Wilma.
