Wanda R. (Boudman) Burlingame

Wanda R. (Boudman) Burlingame, 92, of Berwick, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 at her home. Born in Berwick on May 4, 1931, she was a daughter to the late Rohr and Margaret (Levan) Boudman.

Mrs. Burlingame was a 1949 graduate of Berwick High School and continued her education, becoming a licensed beautician. She was a longtime employee of Bercon, having worked there for nearly 30 years. She had served as an aide at the Berwick Area School District for many years, retiring in 2012. Wanda had been a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and the Berwick Historical Society. For 34 years, she had been a Penn State season ticket holder. She enjoyed wine festivals and winery tours, as well as her regular card games with dear friends. She took great pride in her home and property and spent countless hours maintaining it. Her greatest joy, however, was her beloved family, by who she will be deeply missed.

Wanda is survived by her sons: Glen Burlingame and wife, Bunni, of Nescopeck and Jeff Burlingame and wife, Jane, of Berwick; grandchildren: Des Rae Holden and Brandi Flaschner; great-grandchildren: Bryce Holden, Lyndon Botello, and Daphne Botello; step-son, Bruce Hartman and wife, Sandy; and step-daughter, Beth Cureton and husband, Eddie.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert C. Burlingame, with whom she shared 32 years of marriage prior to his passing on November 7, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty Spangler.

Calvary United Methodist Church Pastoral Lead Cathy Cope will officiate. Friends will be received from 2 PM until the time of the service.
