Travis Jason Potter, 23, of Berwick, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital. Born in Berwick on October 13, 1994, he was a son to the late Charles Hopper and Sabrina Potter. Travis was a 2013 graduate of Berwick Area High School, where he was a standout football player. He served as team captain and had been named defensive player of the year by the Berwick Elks. Travis was a social member of the Berwick VFW Post 821, the American Ukrainian Citizens Club, and the Slavonic American Club. An avid outdoorsmen, Travis enjoyed hunting, fishing, and four wheeling. He also enjoyed reading. Travis's greatest joy, however, was time spent with his family and friends, especially his cousins: Blaze, Jason, Aubree, Charley, Ireland ("Bug"), and Mason. He will be fondly remembered as a man who wore a permanent smile and as a person with an innate ability to make others smile and laugh while in his presence. In addition to his mother, Travis is survived by his sister: Justice Potter of Berwick, grandparents: Dotty and Terry Hopper of Berwick, Cabyn Potter of Berwick, and Michael Potter of Nescopeck, great-grandmother: Sheila Stout of Berwick, companion Faith Osbourne, and a great many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Additionally preceding Travis in death were an uncle, Jason Potter and an aunt, Crystal Busch. A celebration of Travis's life will be held at 6:30 PM Friday, February 2nd at the American Ukrainian Citizens Club, 1222 Freas Avenue, Berwick, PA 18603.
