Timothy E. Moyer, Sr., 68, of Mifflinville, peacefully passed into the embrace of his Lord while surrounded by his family in his home on Thursday, December 1, 2016. He was born January 6, 1948 in Berwick, to the late Earl and Lois (Miller) Moyer. After graduating from Central Columbia High School in 1966, Tim enlisted in the Army, where he served until his Honorable Discharge in 1969. He then went to work for Wise Foods in Berwick until retiring 45 years later as supervisor. Tim enjoyed a passionate love of sports. For ten years he coached the Mifflinville Little League Baseball Team. He also enjoyed hunting and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren. He was also known for his sense of humor. A loving husband and father, Tim will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Surviving Tim is his loving wife of 47 years, the former Eva Fox. Also surviving are his son, Timothy E. Moyer, Jr. and wife, Lydia of Lightstreet, daughter, Lisa Haley and husband, Tony of Pottstown, grandchildren: Lauren Haley, Mackenzie Haley, Sydney Moyer, and Jake Moyer, brother, Jerry Moyer and wife, Darathy of Berwick, and sister, Jill Moyer of Mifflinville. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 4 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5th and Race Streets, Mifflinville, PA. 18631. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of the service. The Rev. Brian D. Vasey will serve as the celebrant. Burial with military honors will follow at the Mifflinville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Tim's memory be made to St. John's Church, Mifflinville, Pennsylvania.
