Tereece Hess

Tereece Marie Hess, 48 of Berwick, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, Thursday, February 13, 2014. She was born July 4, 1965 in Berwick, a daughter to Curtis and Faye (English) Reider. A graduate of the Columbia-Montour Vocational Technical School in 1984, Tereece worked for 12 years at Berwick Floral before going to work for Allied Services as a home health aide. She found her soul mate and partner for life at the age of twenty when she married James Hess of Berwick twenty-seven years ago. Gardening, trips to the beach, autumn, and family times brought her joy and happiness. Her spirit is eternal; her legacy enduring. She left this earth as she entered; surrounded by the most amazing love. TC's generosity and kind heart were an inspiration to her family. As well as her parents and husband, she is survived by three daughters: Sarah Hess and her partner, Jim Bogart of Nescopeck, Cortney Carl and her husband, Nigel of Florida, and Kelsea Hess, at home, a grandson, Landen Hess, two brothers: Gregory Lewis and his partner, Diane Rood of Berwick and Kurt Reider and his wife, Bridget of Berwick, and two sisters: Lori Cukjati and her husband, Jacob of Florida and Shelly Reider and her partner, Brian Dobbs of Berwick. Visitation is 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, February 17 at the New Covenant Christian Center, 212 West 11th Street, Berwick. Her funeral is 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 18 at the church. Her pastor, Rick Dilena will serve as the officiant. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McMichael-Rairigh & Baker Funeral Home of Berwick.
