Susan ´Sue´ V. (Waples) Rockwell

Susan V. Rockwell, 79, of Berwick, passed away peacefully at her home October 16, 2017. Born in Bloomsburg March 2, 1938, she was a daughter to the late J. Russel and Sara Mae (Mensch) Waples. Susan was a 1956 graduate of Bloomsburg High School and attended the Thompson Business College in Harrisburg. She worked as secretary to the president of the former Berwick Bank prior to her retirement in 1979. Sue was an active member of Bower Memorial United Methodist Church. She served as treasurer for United Methodist Women. She was also a participant in the Church Quilters Club, the Faith Circle at her church, and the preparation of luncheons and fund raisers at the church. A kind and caring woman of great faith, she will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Surviving Susan is a son: Michael Petrikonas of Berwick and a sister: Sally Ann Ford and husband, Donald, of HI. In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Robert J. Rockwell. All are welcome at Susan's viewing 10:00-11:00 AM, Friday, October 20 at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East Third Street, Berwick, to be immediately followed by her funeral.
