Steven Mark Nastelli, 54, of Nescopeck, passed away Sunday evening, January 18, 2015 at his home with his family at his side. He was born October 1, 1960 in Carlise, PA., son of the late Lee and Dorothy (Strausbaugh) Nastelli. Steve worked as a bread route salesman for 33 years before retiring. He then enjoyed working part-time as the equipment manager for Wilkes University's football team. Staying active was a huge part of his lifestyle. Whether it was through playing racquetball and basketball at the local YMCA, or coaching and motivating young men and women in basketball and softball, he was eager to teach and set the standard to be followed. Family meant the world to Steve. He shared his love for the Baltimore Orioles and Ocean City Maryland with his girls, and was always making plans to create new special memories. His enthusiasm was contagious to anyone that spent time with him. Surviving Steve are his loving wife of almost 34 years, the former Beth Lewis; two daughters: Jessica Condon and her husband Gregory of Westminster, MD., and Megan Nastelli of Nescopeck; granddaughter, Julia Condon; siblings Jim Nastelli and Carol Brocious; mother and father-in-law Nancy and Michael Lewis; sisters-in-law Barbara Eyer and husband Ron, Susan Jacobs and husband Steve, and Cindy Groshek and husband Mark; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Steve in death were his parents, and his grandson, Bryce Condon. A memorial service celebrating Steve's life will be held on Saturday, January 24 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1600 Fowler Ave., Berwick. Visitation will begin at 11:00, with the memorial service following at 12:00. Pastor Michael Delp, Chaplain at Berwick Commonwealth Hospice will serve as the celebrant.
