Stephen Verhun, Jr.

Stephen Verhun, Jr., 74 of South Centre Township, passed away peacefully at his residence Monday, January 13, 2014. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio February 28, 1939, a son to the late Stephen and Virginia (Gallick) Verhun, Sr. A graduate of Ohio State University, he served in the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army. Steve was employed by Metropolitan Trucking Company until his retirement, December, 2012. His interests included fishing and reading. Surviving are his loving wife of 27 years, the former Nina Sciabarassi, daughters: Sherry D\'Addario and Lisa Verhun, both of Cleveland, OH., son, John and his wife, Ellie of Long Island, step-daughter, Denise Smith of Arizona, step-son, Danny Verhun of Cleveland, OH., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Verhun III and sisters: Dorothy and Alicia. Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
