She also played the piano and organ for various churches earlier in her life. Her hobbies and interests included knitting, photography, camping, horses, doing puzzles, and going to mini sprint car races. Surviving Shirley are two sons, Lee Benjamin, Sr. of Berwick and Terrie Benjamin and his companion, Lorraine Hidlay of Berwick, a daughter, Rebecca Whitebread and her fiancé, Bradly Beck of Berwick, seven grandchildren: Moriah, Lee, Jr., Danielle, Mindy, Tiffany, Kiersten, and Jason, six great-grandchildren, and two sisters-in-law, Ruth Wise and Joanne Wise. As well as her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-four years, Elden Benjamin, Sr., sons, Darrell and Elden, Jr., brothers, Earl Wise, Jr. and Robert Wise, and sister, Dorothy Charette. Her viewing is 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 E. 3rd. St., Berwick. Shirley's funeral is 1:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
