Sally A. (Hirleman) Wilkins, 71, of Berwick, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025, in her home. Born in Danville on April 14, 1954, she was a daughter to the late Thomas H. and Della E. (Brumbaugh) Hirleman, Sr.
Sally was a talented seamstress who worked at several local garment factories, as well as Suntex Cleaners. She had a great love of gardening that led to her working at several local greenhouses. On October 24, 1983, she wed Raymond D. Wilkins, with whom she would raise her family and share 42 years of marriage. Sally attended St. Joseph Parish in Danville. She was a member of the American Ukrainian Citizens Club. Sally enjoyed the outdoors; camping, swimming in the creek, and fishing. She also liked soap operas and music, especially live music, and was an avid fan of the Pittsburg Steelers. She treasured her family and the time spent with them, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving Sally are her husband, Raymond D. Wilkins; children: Cliff Slusser, Jr. and wife, Cheryl, Ryan Wilkins and wife, Shannon, Nick Wilkins and partner, Ashlee Baker, and Joy Wilkins; grandchildren: Kiersten Harner, Khia Wilkins, Lillian Wilkins, Quinlynn Slusser, Atiana Contes, Ilyana Contes, Alyssa Labour, and Paul Miller, Jr.; great-grandchildren: Brody Harner and Delainey Allen; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved dogs: Susan and Norman.
In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth “Sissy” Malkoski; and brothers: Raymond Hirleman and Thomas Hirleman, Jr.
All are welcome to join Sally’s family for her Funeral Service 12 Noon on Friday, November 28, 2025 at the Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc., 119-121 E. Third Street, Berwick. Father Kenneth Roth will officiate. Her viewing will be 10 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 12 Noon. Interment at Rose Lawn Cemetery will follow.
