Roy W. Karchner

Roy W. Karchner, 59 of South Centre Township, passed away November 5, 2014 at his residence. He was born March 31, 1955 in Berwick, a son to the late John E. and Betty N. (Miller) Karchner. Roy was a kind and giving man who enjoyed country music, 70's music, going to carnivals and the fair, playing pinochle, shooting pool, and family gatherings for picnics and holiday and birthday celebrations. Surviving Roy are a brother, Larry Karchner of Shickshinny, sisters: Joan E. Knight and her husband, Frederick of Cambra, Joyce L. Karchner and her spouse, Tyria of Beach Haven, Eileen Pollock and her husband, Edward of Sugarloaf, and Judy L. Roberts and her husband, Dean of Bloomsburg, and many nieces and nephews. As well as his parents, Roy was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald. A family graveside service will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 21 at Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street, Berwick. A Memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM at the Orangeville Charge United Church of Christ, Main Street, Orangeville. Pastor Nancy Light Hardy will serve as the officiant.
