Rosemarie (Boschetto) Mullin, a longtime resident of Berwick and Nanticoke passed into the Lord’s Kingdom on March 19, 2024, after a short stay at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born June 29,1939 in Tenafly, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Erma (Volpicelli) Boschetto. Rose was a 1957 graduate of Tenafly High School and a member of the Earth Angels Club. After graduation, Rose married her first love, Thomas E. Mullin, on August 8, 1959. Together Rose and Tom had three children. Tom was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident and in the hope of beginning a new life’s path after her loss, Rose relocated her family of three young children to Nanticoke. Shortly after, Rose’s parents returned to her mother’s family hometown of Berwick to be near Rose and their grandchildren, Donna, Tom, and Lisa.
Throughout her life, Rose demonstrated her unwavering commitment to her family, her unselfish giving spirit, her love of children, and her genuine heartfelt compassion for all people. Rose was a truly beautiful person both on the outside and on the inside. She provided loving care for both her parents until their deaths.
After her children were adults and on their own, Rose once again redefined her life’s path by enrolling in college and receiving a degree in Early Childhood Education in 1991. Soon after graduating, she became a nursery school teacher with the Child Development Council of NEPA until she retired and moved to Berwick to care for her widowed mother. While caring for her elderly mother, she worked part time for the Red Cross of Berwick as Coordinator for Meals on Wheels and Coordinator for Food Pantry.
Her husband and parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother, Roger (Dottie) Boschetto, Leonardo, NJ; children: Donna (Brian) Cooper, Shickshinny; Thomas, Huntington Station, NY, and Lisa (David) Huntz, West Wyoming; grandchildren: Dr. Gary (Kathryn) Koncewicz, GA; Staff Sgt. Steven Huntz USAF, Korea; Brian M. Cooper, Shickshinny, Michelle Mullin, NYC, and great-grandchildren: Louise Rose and Charlotte Ann Koncewicz, GA
