Richard Anthony "Rick" Foster

Richard Anthony “Rick” Foster, 59, of Bloomsburg and formerly of Berwick, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024 at his home.  Born in Chester, PA on September 25, 1965, he was a son to the late Donald and Delores (Mackert) Foster.

Rick attended Berwick Area Schools.  For many years, he had been a carpet installer.  He enjoyed flying drones and was an avid professional wrestling fan.  Rick loved his family and time spent with them, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving Rick is his wife, Tammy (Powlus) Foster, of Berwick; children:  Felicia Foster of Catawissa, Dawn Morykan and husband Brannon, of Benton, and Olivia Cokely and husband, Alec, of Bloomsburg; step-children:  Nicole Yohey of Berwick and Joshua Strickland of Berwick; grandchildren:  Kaydence Bobersky, Colson Sitler, Lincoln Morykan, Elym Morykan, Lilah Foster, and Vanee Cokely; siblings:  Catherine Danko of Hunlock Creek, Julie Foster of Hunlock Creek, Nichole Foster of Drums, Francis Curry of Philadelphia, and Terrance Curry of IA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Curry.

Rick’s funeral service is 6 PM Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at the Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc., 119-121 E. Third Street, Berwick.  Pastor Jim Winder of Cornerstone Bible Church will officiate.  Friends will be received from 4 PM until the time of the service at 6 PM.  Memorial contributions may be made to Rick’s family or to the GoFundMe established to help defray final expenses.  The Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve the Foster family.  Online messages of comfort and support may be left at www.kelchnerfuneralhome.com.
