Pauline B. (Vorbleski) Sarday, 101, of Lansdale and formerly of Berwick, passed away Sunday, November 09, 2025, at Sunrise of North Wales. Born in Shickshinny on April 27, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria (Mroz) Vorbleski.
Pauline was a graduate of Shickshinny High School, Class of 1942 and pursued further education in cosmetology. On February 2, 1950, she wed Anthony J. “Tony” Sarday, with whom she would share 57 years of marriage and raise their family. She had been employed by the federal government as a telephone operator at Indiantown Gap and had owned and operated a beauty salon at the Treadway Hotel in Lebanon. Pauline was a member of Immaculate Conception BVM Church in Berwick. She was a devout Catholic who prayed the rosary every day and when she could no longer attend Mass watched it every day on EWTN. Pauline was especially fond of family gatherings and enjoyed dancing, baking, TV game shows, card playing, casino slots, betting on the horses and bingo.
Surviving Pauline are daughters: Paula J. Sarday of Lansdale and Lisa J. Kahler and husband, Jeff, of CO; grandchildren: Shawn Sullivan, Anthony, Steven and Joseph Miola, Alec and Jillian Harvey and great-granddaughter Stella.
In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony J. “Tony” Sarday, who passed away November 29, 2007. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Wendy J. Harvey; brothers: Walter F. Vorbleski and Stanley J. Vorbleski; sisters: Mary Lacomy, Jennie Kadtke, Frances Bushman, Helen Wolfe and Josephine Bahlavooni; and sons-in-law Steven Miola and Randy Pagnotta.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, November 14, 2025, at Immaculate Conception BVM Church (St. Mary’s), 1730 Fowler Avenue, Berwick, with Rev. Francis J. Tamburro officiating as Celebrant. Friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of the Mass at 11 AM. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery Annex, Walnut Street, will follow the Mass. Memorial contributions in Pauline’s name may be made to the Salvation Army Berwick Corps, 320 W. 2nd Street, Berwick, PA 18603.
