Patricia J. (Smith) Lentz, 74, of Wapwallopen, died suddenly, in her home, Friday, February 20, 2026. Born in Wapwallopen on March 25, 1951, she was a daughter to the late Clarence H. and Evelyn (Ryman) Smith.

Patricia was a graduate of Pulaski High School, Class of 1969. She had been employed for more than 25 years by Wise Snack Foods, from which she retired. Patricia was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church in Wapwallopen. She loved animals, especially her dogs. For many years, she had worked with various local dog groomers. She also enjoyed puzzles, games, and the Game Show Network. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving Patricia are her sons: Kevin Saxe and wife, Meagan, of Hunlock Creek and Brian Saxe and wife, Tammie, of Martinsville, VA; grandchildren: Alisha (Justin) Kreitzer, Cole (Chelsey) Saxe, Kayla (Brandon) Quesinberry, Shawn (Kimberlyn) Saxe, and Brandon Saxe; great-grandchildren: Aubree Kreitzer, Bryer Saxe, Kinley Quesinberry, Kevin Kreitzer, Kelsey Quesinberry, Gabby Saxe, and Wade Saxe; and siblings: Nancy (Robert) Haney, Ronald Smith, Clarence E. Smith, and Duane (Ruth) Smith.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Richard H. Lentz, who passed away March, 27, 2010.

All are welcome to join Patricia’s family for her Graveside Service, 11 AM Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. Pastor Jeff Farley, of Stillwater Christian Church, will officiate. In keeping with her love of animals, memorial contributions in Patricia’s name may be made to Rescue Pets Serving Vets, Inc., 4793 Red Rock Road, Benton, PA 17814.
