Patricia J. (Defrain) Francis

Patricia J. (DeFrain) Francis, 70, of Bloomsburg, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at her home.  Born in Berwick on September 6, 1954, she was a daughter to the late Frederick DeFrain and Betty (Fowler) Kibler.

Patricia was a graduate of Berwick High School.  On January 20, 1973, she wed Edward J. Francis, with whom she would share 35 years of marriage.  Pat was a dedicated wife and mother.  She had worked at the Berwick Golf Club, Berwick Offray, Fulton Lamp Factory, and at Pittston Party Favors.  Pat loved spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially diamond art, beading, making bracelets and necklaces, needlepoint, and crocheting.  She was also a diehard Eagles fan.

Surviving Patricia are her children:  Helen M. (Francis) Bagley and husband, Bryan, Edward F. Francis and fiancée, Brandi Shamp, and William J. Francis and wife, Vanessa; grandchildren:  Heaven Brickley, Katlynn Klinesmith, Starlette Francis, Skylar Francis, Rayce Bagley, and Gavin Payton; numerous great-grandchildren; and siblings:  Frederick B. DeFrain, Randy Kessler and wife, Beth, Rosemary Swisher and husband, Jack, and James DeFrain.

In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward J. Francis, who passed away June 15, 2008.  She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Leo L. Kibler; and siblings:  David A. DeFrain, Fredrick "Butch" DeFrain, Louise Ann Bressler, Hons Kraynak, and Linda Mowery.

All are welcome to join Patricia’s family for her funeral 11 AM Friday, November 1, 2024 at the Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, 119-121 E.
