Norman T. Fedder, 77, of Nescopeck, died peacefully Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Hazleton. Born in Berwick on April 7, 1948, he was a son to the late Robert N. Fedder and the late Ruth P. (Smith) Fedder.
Mr. Fedder was a graduate of Berwick High School, Class of 1966 and furthered his education, first, at Paul Smith’s College and then at Steven F. Austin State University. He attended Berwick Assembly of God. Norm’s first job was working for his father at Fedder’s Newsstand. He would also go on to serve as a New Jersey State Park Ranger, a surveyor for Don E. Bower, Inc., and an employee of PPL, from which he retired in 2014 after nearly 30 years of employment. He was an active member of Knapp Lodge #462 F&AM, NMJ Scottish Right Valley of Bloomsburg, Irem Shrine, Elks BPO Lodge #1138, the Berwick Jaycees, the Susquehanna Valley Beagle Club, and the Shamokin Beagle Club. Norm was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, fly fishing, kayaking, clamming and spending time at Bethany Beach. He treasured time spent with his beloved family, by whom he will be deeply missed.
Surviving Norman are his children: Brent Fedder of Benton, Kara Thompson and husband, Adam, of Nescopeck, and Kyla Riccobon and husband, Colin, of Nescopeck; grandchildren: Lexi Fedder, Makenna, Logan, Brody, Lucas, and Eli Thompson, and Connor and Reese Riccobon; and cousins: Susan Slavin of Bloomfield, CT and Barb Fedder Thomas of Hershey.
In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his loving wife of 20 years, Kathleen M. (Spaid) Fedder, who passed away December 16, 2021. He was also preceded in death by son, Chad Fedder, and step-mother, Naomi (Engle) Fedder.
All are welcome to join Norm’s family for his Funeral Service 11 AM Monday, November 3, 2025 at Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc., 119-121 E. Third Street, Berwick. Pastor Scott Winter will officiate. His viewings will be 3-5 PM Sunday, November 2, 2025 and 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM Monday, November 3, 2025. Burial at Pine Grove Cemetery Annex, Walnut Street, will follow the Funeral Service.
