Nicole M. Yohey

Nicole M. Yohey, 38, of Berwick, passed away peacefully Friday, November 21, 2025 at her home with her family by her side. Born in Berwick on January 31, 1987, she was a daughter to Tammy (Powlus) Foster and the late Bobby Yohey, Jr.

Nicole attended Berwick Area Schools. She enjoyed singing, dancing, and feeding the fish and ducks. She loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved nieces and nephews. She was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan who liked dining out with her grandmother and friend, Ginger. She will be fondly remembered as a kind and caring person who loved everyone.

In addition to her mother, Nicole is survived by her grandmother, Vivian Kehl; siblings: Tyler Engle, Joshua Strickland, and Olivia (Foster) Cokely; nieces and nephews: Juliana Engle, Kade Engle, Nevaeh Strickland, Kinsley Wright, Lilah Foster, and Vanee Cokely; aunts: Tina Hewlett, Tuesday Owens, Amanda Santamassino, and Elizabeth Green; uncles: Byron Powlus, Jerry Powlus, and Charlie Powlus; godparents: Donald and Barbara Howard; dear friend, Virginia “Ginger” Slusser; and a large extended family.

In addition to her father, Nicole was preceded in death by stepfathers: Robert Shaffer, Jr. and Douglas Strickland; grandfather, Jerry Powlus; uncles: Jerry Owens and Raymond Berry; and aunt, Evelyn Berry.

Nicole’s Funeral Service will be 12 Noon Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc., 119-121 E. Third Street, Berwick. Reverend Alan Langelli will officiate.
