Nancy W. (Waters) Defebo

Nancy W. (Waters) DeFebo, 85, of Berwick, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024. Born in Carbondale on May 16, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Frank R. and Betty (Freas) Waters.

Nancy was a graduate of Berwick High School, Class of 1956, and continued her education at Empire Beauty School. On March 16, 1960 she wed the late John W. DeFebo, with whom she would share 41 years of marriage. Mrs. Waters had worked at Nespoli Jewelers and Bell Telephone, from which she retired in 1995. Nancy enjoyed driving sports cars, relaxing at home and in her yard, swimming, and spoiling the cats that she had throughout the years. Her favorite times were those spent with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren, by whom she will be greatly missed.

Surviving Nancy are her son, Jeffrey W. DeFebo and wife, Kim, of Alloway, NJ and grandchildren: Angela DeFebo and Jason DeFebo, both of southern NJ.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, John W. DeFebo, who passed away July 18, 2001.

Nancy’s services are private with her interment at Rose Lawn Cemetery, West Front Street, Berwick. Reverend William T. Barbee will officiate.
