Nancy Petty

Nancy L. Petty, 77 of Berwick, went peacefully, with her husband at her bedside, to her Lord and Savior Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was born August 11, 1936 in Berwick, the daughter of the late Glenn and Helen (Dietterick) Remaley. A graduate of Berwick High School, she worked at Lady Esther, Consolidated Cigar, American Auto, and for Dr. Dziwura before she and her husband started the Joseph J. Petty Floor & Wall Covering Company in 1971 . Nancy\'s interests and joys included cooking, ceramics, flower gardening, canning, pets, and being with her family. She was a member of the International Soroptimists and St. Joseph Church. Surviving are her loving husband of 59 years, Joseph J. Petty, daughter, Pamela J. Pheasant of Paxinos, and son, Joseph Glenn Petty of Danville. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Tuesday, February 4 at the McMichael-Rairigh & Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 E. 3rd St., Berwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Wednesday, at St. Joseph Church, 721 Monroe St., Berwick. Fr. Dennis Dalessandro will serve as the officiant.
