Nancy J. (Labella) Deutsch

Nancy Deutsch, of Berwick, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Berwick Hospital Center. Born in Manhattan on December 5, 1925, she was a daughter to the late Joseph and Teresa (DiGiacomo) LaBella. Following graduation from high school, she worked in a variety of positions including dental assistant, model, and bank teller. Nancy was a member of the Berwick Assembly of God and was active in its Joy Club. She was a woman of great faith who lived her life with zest that was evident to anyone who had the good fortune to have met her. Nancy loved to cook and travel. Her greatest joy, however, was her loving family, by whom she will be greatly missed. Surviving Nancy is her husband of 62 years, Charles Deutsch. Also surviving are her son: Richard B. Deutsch of CA, her daughter: Cynthia Ann Hudock and husband, Blaine, of Berwick, grandchildren: Jacob C. Hudock, Rebecca Hewett, Joseph Hudock, and Amanda Hudock, great-grandchildren: Phoebe Hewett, Piper Hewett, Katherine Hewett, and Matthew Freeman, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brothers: John LaBella, Joseph LaBella, and John Iveli and a sister: Connie Reasoner. All are welcome to join Nancy's family for her funeral 11:00 AM Friday, June 1st at the Berwick Assembly of God, 801 East 5th Street, Berwick. Her pastor, Pastor Steve Potutschnig, will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Berwick, will follow. The Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home is honored to assist the Deutsch family.
