Nancy J. (Hess) Rowland

Nancy J. Rowland, 80, formerly of Berwick, passed away peacefully Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Gardens at Orangeville. Born in Endicott, NY September 6, 1938, she was a daughter to the late Ted K.M. and Margaret Hess. Nancy was a graduate of Vestal High School, Class of 1956, and the St. Luke's Hospital Nursing School in New York, NY. She worked her entire career as a registered nurse in New York and Pennsylvania locations. Nancy was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid movie watcher, especially the classics. Her greatest joy, however, was time spent with her family, by whom she will be sorely missed. Surviving Nancy is her son: Daniel E. Rowland and wife, Arlene, of NC and granddaughter: Lynda-Jane M. Rowland, also of NC. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband, John C. Rowland, who passed in 1978. Also preceding her was son: Frank A. Rowland, who died in infancy, and brother: Barry L. Hess. At Nancy's request, services will be private and at the convenience of her family.
