Metta (Lynn) Ent

Metta Ent, 97, of Mifflinville, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 12, 2020 in her home. Born in Nescopeck January 19, 1923, she was a daughter to the late Charles and Dora Jane (Smith) Lynn. Metta was a 1941 graduate of Nescopeck High School, for whom she played basketball. She had a life-long love of cooking and food preparation. Metta worked at the Frantz restaurant in Berwick and in the cafeterias at both the Mifflinville Elementary School and Central Columbia High School, from which she retired. She was a member of the Mifflinville United Methodist Church where she was actively involved in the kitchen there; preparing meals and organizing the chocolate Easter egg making activities. She was also a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader and a member of the Berwick V.F.W. Auxiliary 821. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family, especially playing card games, assembling jigsaw puzzles, and eating Max's Ice Cream. Surviving Metta are her children: Judy Harvey of Mifflinville, William Ent and wife, Sharon, of Berwick, and Bonnie Zultevicz and husband, Eugene, of Stillwater, grandchildren: Kellie Wojciecowski and husband, Bernard, Lindie Noll and husband, Steve, Christopher Zultevicz and wife, Christine, and Mary Zultevicz, step-grandchildren: Shawna Lupini and husband, Chris, and Richard Albertson and wife, Cindy, great-granchildren: Ashley and Benjamin Wojciecowski, Kaylin Betz, and Rachel, Sarah, Krista, and Victoria Zultevicz, step great-grandchildren: Gage and Madeline Lupini, and Sarah Noll, step great-great-granddaughter: Presley Lupini, sister: Kaye Brown, brother: Charles Lynn, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Metta was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Robert E. Ent, who passed on October 24, 1994. She was also preceded by siblings: Joyce Lynn, Norma White, Jay Lynn, Clara Pettit, Drew Lynn, and Dale Lynn. All are welcome to join Metta's family for her funeral 11:00 AM Monday, March 16 at the Mifflinville United Methodist Church, 4th and Market Streets, Mifflinville, PA 18631. Her pastor, Rev. Dr. R. Kenneth Gunter will officiate. Her viewing will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial at Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg, will follow.
