Maxine Virginia Laubach

Maxine Virginia Laubach, 82, of Berwick passed away peacefully at home on September 11, 2024. Born in Nanticoke, PA on September 2, 1942 to the late Grace Smith.

Maxine graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1960.  She worked at K Mart, Berwick for 20 years and Walmart for 7 years.  She enjoyed collecting antiques, fishing with her husband, and playing cards.

She is survived by her husband, Rick, who was the love of her life.  They were married on August 17, 1968 and enjoyed 56 years together.  She was close to her niece, Betty Hoffman and her husband Brian of Slocum, among other nieces and nephews. She enjoyed the company of her close friends Bob and Carin Lewis of Berwick and Amanda Titus (her caregiver) and John Feron of Berwick.

She was preceded in death by her twin boys, John and Emmett, not long after birth, brothers Harry Bilby, Donald Swank, Willard Swank and David Swank.

Maxine’s funeral will be 11 AM Monday, September 16, 2024 at the Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc., 119-121 E.
