Mary C. Zerbe

Mary C. Zerbe, 86, of Berwick, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She was born September 21, 1930 in Northumberland, a daughter to the late Ralph and Bertha Mae Marks. A stay at home mom until her youngest child started school, she then worked at the Consolidated Cigar Plant and later as a waitress at the Berwick Moose. Mary was a member of the West Berwick Hose Company Ladies Auxiliary. She also loved her Phillies, good or bad, and watched them every chance that she was given. A kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Mary will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving Mary is her loving husband of 60 years, Joseph. Also surviving are two sons: Joseph Roush and wife, Jackie of Nescopeck and Daniel Zerbe and wife, Christina of Berwick; daughter, Glenda Wozniak and husband, John of Berwick, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Nevin, Ralph, Lester, and John Marks and sisters: Betty Roush and Edna Bogart. All are welcome to join Mary's family at her viewing 10:00-11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 5 at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East Third Street, Berwick. A funeral service will immediately follow the viewing. Reverend Laura King will serve as the officiant. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery.
