Mary Faith Fisher, nee Melchiorre, age 72, of Berwick, passed away on July 25, 2026, at her home and surrounded by her family. Born in Berwick on November 26, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Mary Lee Scala and Angelo Melchiorre. She was a graduate of the Berwick Area Senior High School, Class of 1972, and remained a lifelong resident of Berwick.
A woman of deep and enduring faith, she was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Berwick. Her devotion to God was a foundation of her life, and her faith never wavered.
On November 23, 1972, Faith married the love of her life, Bart Fisher, and during their 53 years of marriage, they built a life of true companionship and love.
Faith walked in beauty, bringing kindness and love to all who knew her. A proud member of the Melchiorre family, she is now joining her loved ones for a reunion in heaven.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lee Scala; father, Angelo Melchiorre; and step-father, Gabriel Scala.
Faith is survived by her husband, Bart Fisher; three children: Sean Fisher, Bridget Mazzei, and Riane Hulme; daughter-in-law and sons-in-law, Autumn Fisher, Justin Mazzei, and Steve Hulme; nine grandchildren: O’Hara, Quinn, Grady, Daniella, Abby, Kylie, Colin, Michael, and Rowan. She is survived by her four deeply loved siblings: Angela Harmon, Pennie Matash, Mark Melchiorre, and Jim Melchiorre; and a wonderful, close-knit extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Faith’s viewing will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 721 Monroe Street, Berwick, PA 18603, from 10 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Her pastor, Rev. William T. Barbee will officiate as celebrant. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and share in honoring her memory. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church at the above address or to Geisinger Hospice, 74 Schoolhouse Road, Suite 104, Danville, PA 17821.
