Martha A. Franklin, 89, of Berwick, passed away peacefully November 7, 2017 at Berwick Retirement Village I. Born in Main Township on February 3, 1928, she was a daughter to the late Logan and Edith (Singley) Wynings. Martha worked at the Baer Silk Mill, U.S. Radium Corp, Bercon Packaging, Wise Foods, and Consolidated Cigar Co. Martha was a member of the Berwick Christian Church and gave of her time to the Meals on Wheels program. She enjoyed traveling and dining at various restaurants, as well as birdwatching. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family. A kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, she will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Surviving Martha are sons: Frank Procida and John Procida, both of Berwick, granddaughter: Alyssa Procida of Berwick, grandson: Michael Procida of Berwick, great-granddaughter: Lillian Procida, brother: Doyle Wynings of Berwick, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Franklin. Also preceding her were brothers: Alvin Wynings, Arnold Wynings, Theodore Wynings, Clair Wynings, Earl Wynings, and Harry Wynings, and sister: Rachel George. All are invited to join Martha's family for her graveside service at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 10 at Elan Memorial Park, Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg.
