Margaret ´Marie´ L Michael

Margaret L. "Marie" Michael, 88 of Berwick, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Berwick Retirement Village II, where she recently had been admitted. She was born January 13, 1926 in Berwick, a daughter to the late Luther and Alverna (Miller) Erdman. A graduate of Berwick High School in 1943, Marie worked in administration at numerous companies including the former ACF, Berwick Industries, and the former McGregor Company in Berwick. Volunteering in the community and at her church was very important to Marie. She was a member of the Senior Circle at the Berwick Hospital and was a president of the Esther Circle at Calvary United Methodist Church of Berwick. She also taught Sunday school for years at Calvary. Surviving Marie are two daughters: Cheryl Lea and her husband, Clifford Kishbaugh, Jr. of Berwick and Debra and her husband, Carl Podlinsek of Berwick, three grandchildren: Alana Golomb, Clifford Kishbaugh III, and Alisha Musselman, two step-grandchildren: Dr. Anna Brown and Deborah Swartz, eleven great-grandchildren: Courtney Golomb, Olivia and Joshua Kishbaugh, Christine, Keana, and Kayla Cook, Max and Zia Swartz, and Logan, Nolan, and Samuel Brown, and a sister, Frances Puckett of Berwick. As well as her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Clark Edward Michael, two sons: Clark, Jr. "Mike" and Edward, daughter, Alverna, brothers: Oliver, Henry, Edward, Robert, Charles, Earnest, and John, and sisters: Belle and Irene. Marie's funeral is 11 AM Saturday, September 13 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 1135 Orange St., Berwick. Retired Methodist Pastor Byron Krapf will serve as the officiant. Friends may call at the church from 9 AM until time of the service. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park. Donations in Marie's memory can be made to Calvary United Methodist Church.
