Linda L. (Kessler) Mowery

Linda L. (Kessler) Mowery, 68, of North Centre Township, passed away suddenly Friday, February 9, 2024.  Born in Berwick on June 17, 1955 she was a daughter to the late Frederick DeFrain and Mary Lou (Young) DeFrain.

Linda attended Berwick and Millville schools.  On June 2, 1974, she wed Kaven L. Mowery.  Together, they raised their family and shared nearly 50 years of marriage.  Linda worked for Wise Foods and, later, Broody Greenhouses.  She found great joy working at the greenhouses.  She also delivered for the Press Enterprise.  In her free moments, she enjoyed puzzles, baking, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her mother, Linda is survived by her loving husband, Kaven L. Mowery; sons:  David Mowery and Richard J. Mowery, both of North Centre Township; grandchildren:  Maryanna Mowery, Mikla Mowery, Kierra Mowery, and Rylen Mowery; great-grandchildren:  Colton Mowery, Ian Triplett, and Joshua Mowery; siblings:  Randy Kessler and wife, Beth, Rose Swisher and husband, Jack, and James DeFrain; and a large extended family.

In addition to her father, Linda was preceded in death by newborn son, Kevin Mowery.

All are welcome to join Linda's family for her funeral 11 AM Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc., 119-121 E. Third Street, Berwick.  Pastor Scott Winter of Berwick Assembly of God will officiate.  Friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM.  Her interment at Mifflinville Cemetery is private.  Online messages of comfort and support may be left at www.kelchnerfuneralhome.com.
