Lewis S. Abram, 81, of Berwick, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the Gardens at Orangeville. Born in Columbia, MS on January 18, 1945, he was a son to the late Booker T. and Armetta T. (Lewis) Abram.

Following his graduation from Marion High School in 1963, he continued his education at Prentis Jr. College and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. On May 3, 1973, Lewis wed the love of his life, the former Ella Lee Frederick, with whom he would raise a family and share 34 years of marriage. Lewis had been employed at the Fulton Lamp Factory and the AC&F before beginning a career at Berwick Offray lasting more than 25 years, until his retirement in 2006. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. His greatest joy, however, was his beloved family, by whom he will be deeply missed.

Surviving Lewis are his children: Lewis S. Abram II and wife, Georgette, of Berwick, Booker F. Abram of Berwick, and Jami Russell and husband, Tony, of VA; four granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; sisters-in-law: Mary Jane Albertson, Eileen Frederick, Naomi Brown Abram, and Lillie Abram; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ella Lee (Frederick) Abram, who passed away January 14, 2008. He was also preceded in death by brothers: Booker T. Abram, Jr., Alb Abram, Bobby Abram, and Claudis Abram.
