Leonard J. (Lenny) Hugick Loved Attending Family Reunions Leonard J. (Lenny) Hugick, 90, of Rochester, NY passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at Unity Hospital, Rochester, NY. Born July 30, 1926, in Herkimer County, NY, he was a son of the late James and Kathryn Buczewski Hugick. After graduating from eighth grade in a one room school house, he worked at the Hugick family farm in Beach Haven, PA. Later, he worked at AC&F Foundry in Berwick, and then relocated to Rochester, NY where he worked as a welder until his retirement. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Moralda (Molly) DeFinis in 1965; brothers, Stanley, Joseph, Henry, George, Paul, Raymond and Edward Hugick; and sisters, Genevieve Karns and Caroline VanHoomissen. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Left to honor his memory are his companion, Eleanor Thornton; his children, James P. Hugick and wife Rose, Rochester, NY, Christine H. Jakubowski and husband John, Shrewsbury, MA and Ronald M. Hugick and wife Gail, Lansdale, PA; grandchildren Mark and Keri Hugick and great grandson, Maxwell J. Hugick. Leonard's funeral service will be on Monday, February 20th, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Berwick, PA with a viewing beginning at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
